As The Cyber Alchemist, I view partnerships through the lens of alchemy—the law of equal exchange. But in cybersecurity, it’s more than transactional; it’s transformational. Every collaboration is an opportunity to not just exchange value but to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Through trust, shared purpose, and a commitment to growth, I forge partnerships that spark innovation, resilience, and lasting impact.
In partnership with the Nevada Department of Corrections, I’ve created a phased cybersecurity training program for non-violent offenders. This initiative focuses on providing foundational IT skills, industry-recognized certifications, and hands-on internship opportunities, all designed to equip participants with the tools needed for successful post-release reintegration. By bridging the gap between incarceration and career readiness, we’re creating pathways for personal growth, professional development, and lasting societal impact.
Through my partnership with the Dallas Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), I deliver presentations that explore the evolving intersection of emerging technologies and internal auditing. My sessions cover critical topics like AI, ChatGPT applications, and auditing AI, providing insights into how these technologies are reshaping the cybersecurity landscape. This collaboration aims to empower audit professionals with the knowledge and strategies needed to navigate complex risks and opportunities.
As a Cybersecurity Advisor for the government and critical infrastructure of Puerto Rico, I provide strategic cybersecurity leadership during times of disaster and incident response. My role focuses on enhancing resilience, strengthening incident response capabilities, and safeguarding vital systems against evolving threats. Through this partnership, I've helped ensure that critical infrastructure remained secure and operational, even amidst the most challenging circumstances.
In partnership with Akylade, I serve as an exam developer, contributing to the creation of cybersecurity certification exams. My work focuses on designing and validating assessment content that aligns with industry standards and reflects real-world cybersecurity scenarios. Through this collaboration, I help shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by ensuring that certification exams are both rigorous and relevant.
As a U.S. Air Force disabled veteran, I’m honored to partner with the United States Air Force as a speaker at select Transition Assistance Program (TAPS) courses. Drawing from my own journey, I guide fellow veterans looking to enter or advance in the cybersecurity field, offering insights on career planning, strategic growth, and how to translate military experience into success in the tech industry. This partnership allows me to give back by helping veterans navigate their next chapter with purpose and confidence.
In partnership with the Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Countering Human Trafficking, I serve as a key cybersecurity advisor, focused on developing and implementing strategic security measures to combat human trafficking. My role involves enhancing digital threat mitigation, identifying vulnerabilities exploited by traffickers, and advising on cybersecurity strategies that help disrupt and prevent trafficking activities in both digital and operational environments.
When it comes to partnerships, I believe in building relationships rooted in purpose, authenticity, and impact. I primarily collaborate with non-profit organizations or mission-driven for-profit entities whose goals are centered on bettering society or uplifting their communities. For me, it’s not just about cybersecurity—it’s about contributing to causes that create real, lasting change.
When I partner with an organization, it’s more than a title or formal agreement. I don’t charge for impromptu advisory services or for serving on boards because I view these contributions as an investment in a shared mission, not a transaction. My role is to support, guide, and empower organizations without barriers, ensuring that meaningful progress isn’t hindered by costs.
That said, not every collaboration will align perfectly—and that’s okay. Even if an organization isn’t the right fit for a formal partnership, I’m always open to finding ways to help them achieve their cybersecurity goals. Whether it’s providing resources, strategic advice, or connecting them with the right people, I’m committed to making a difference where I can.
There’s no hidden agenda behind my partnerships. I genuinely enjoy being part of efforts that transform ideas into reality, strengthen security environments, and amplify the impact of organizations doing good work. My partnerships are grounded in a simple philosophy: when we work together with integrity and purpose, we all grow—and so does the world around us.
